If you're looking for a light and tasty recipe, we’ll show you how to prepare slices of tuna with a slight sour touch that will surprise your guests.

Today, we’re presenting an easy colourful dish.

The mango and the apple give this dish a sour touch that counteracts the flavour and texture of our Koldfin Marinated Tuna, resulting in a unique and delicious combination.

Ingredients ( 4 pax)

  • 2 packs of Frozen Marinated Yellowfin Tuna Slice
  • 1 red onion
  • ½ Granny smith apple
  • ½ mango
  • ½ garlic
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 g salt
  • 1 g cinnamon
  • Ginger to taste
  • 1 clove
  • 3 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 small bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp. raw cane sugar
  • Dificultad Low

Step by step 1/4

Peel and julienne the onion. Heat a pan with extra virgin olive oil and add the onion when hot. Cover and sauté the onion for a few minutes. Next, add the cut garlic and cover again.

Step by step 2/4

Once the onion and garlic are cooked, add the apple, cut into cubes, the vinegar, the sugar cane, the cinnamon, salt, pepper, cloves and the bay leaf, then cover for 2 more minutes.

Step by step 3/4

Add the diced mango, cover and remove. While it rests, heat a skillet over high heat and sear the tuna for 45 seconds on each side.

Step by step 4/4

Now just plate it. Cut the slices in half, give half to each person and decorate with the chutney on top. There you have it!

Fish with fruit, an explosive combination

Fruit is an element used in thousands of delicious combinations. Because of its mild flavour and firm texture, Tuna invites you to add fruit for a citric or sour touch to any combination. This will give you a very exotic contrast of textures.
