Where is the poke bowl from?

This traditional Hawaiian dish originated with the fishermen who complemented their catch of the day with all sorts of foods. This fusion became popular during the 1980s, but it wasn’t until recently that its popularity spread to Europe.

Basically, the poke bowl formula is to mix pieces of marinated raw fish, usually tuna, with rice, vegetables and sauces. Sometimes, the simplest dishes are the richest!
